International (non-EU) applicants

The UK may be small, but it is one of the most diverse and dynamic hubs of the global pharmaceutical industry. With over a hundred pharmaceutical companies operating in the UK, you may be tempted to move here to help develop your career.

The UK pharmaceutical industry offers a wide range of career opportunities across research, development, manufacturing, regulation, data science and commercial roles. If you are an international applicant and require permission to work in the UK, you will usually need an appropriate visa before starting employment. Visa requirements vary depending on your circumstances, qualifications and the role for which you are applying. Pharmaceutical companies may sponsor eligible candidates through the Skilled Worker visa route, while some highly accomplished researchers and scientists may be eligible for the Global Talent visa.

For the latest guidance on obtaining a working visa before you can come to the UK to work, see here: Visas and immigration operational guidance - GOV.UK

We recommend checking the latest UK Government guidance on work visas before applying for roles in the UK.
